Illegal Cleaners...Has anyone been called on it?
« on: November 16, 2003, 07:46:53 AM »
Has anyone seen or heard of someone getting caught with using an illegal cleaner?

If you saw someone using an illegal cleaner right before league play, would you report it?

Or is this something more of a concern at tournament and scratch league levels verus a mixed league?

Just try'n to keep it on the O LINE! Only if there was an O LINE!

I've called 2 different people on it. A house I was subbing at sold an cleaner that was illgal for use during competition. I saw that one week & was going to use it to my advantage the next. I printed up the list from bowl.com & called the person on it.

They blew their game & pretty much the rest of the series.

In a game that's 80% mental, using rules to throw someone off of their game is priceless.

I don't see saliva on the list of approved cleaners, but I haven't been called on that yet. (It works better than a plain rag to remove belt marks in your track - when you're up at the ball return you don't have access to anything stronger.
