Looking for Specialty shoes
« on: September 08, 2003, 06:58:39 PM »
A fellow bowler asked me if I had ever seen shoes like his on the Net before.  I looked at them and I never had.  His are wearing out and he would like to get a new pair.  I figured someone out there might have a lead.

The Shoes  --  the ones he has are like the old Lind Extras with four or five discs to go in the buckskin.  But, both shoes have the same sole on them with places for the discs.  He shuffles his feet going to the line which is why he can't use Dexter/ABS/Linds which have the rubber on the pivot foot.  They are a quality leather shoe.

Also, I have already suggested that he could buy two pair, one rh and one lh, to accomplish the same thing but he would rather find a pair similar to what he currently has.

A)  Anyone heard of such a shoe?
B)  Anyone know where such a shoe could be purchased any more?

Thanks.

Scott

A.  PBS shoes.  No longer manufactured, they were based on the Linds design.

B.  The owner's widow was selling off the last that she had in stock.  Sizes were limited.  See the following topics that were posted with the information:
