Mike Scroggins

I have not been very observing .. Mike has been on the telecast the last couple of weeks .. haven't paid too much attention to him. Curious to know if he has been using the same ball each week or has he been throwing something different each week?

Not sure what he has been using previous.  During Round of 8 he used something polished but as his 7-8 board shot fried out he moved in slightly using a Vendetta Particle.  Lil more surface and kciked PDW's butt.

Not sure Jeffrevs.....but I think Scrogs is an independent.  He was throwing a DT Vendetta Particle last night that according to Del and Mike himself on Strike Pass.

He was throwing a V2 Strong today.

What is with him?
I have seen him bowl in tournaments around the ABC city with his brother. They bowl like freaking robots, literally, ball after ball, the same, time and time again. I almost hate them gfor that ability. But come show time, the last 3 weeks now, he seems affected by every little sound, noise and movement. I get nervous too, but even I could have shut Couch out who was lost in that semi-final. Well, not quite, of course, but you get the point.

And what's with that follow through across his chest???

I missed the SCROGGINS match .. I agree he's not very interesting .. seems he bowls like a CHAMP till he gets before the cameras .. not that he bowls BAD then .. but never seems to get to the WINNERS spot .. if he makes it again next week .. IT'S GOT TO BE SOME KIND OF RECORD!

I don't understand that guy Scroggins.
Really dull to watch on TV, but obviously a very accomplished bowler.

I've seen him in person: he is a great bowler.
He has won TWENTY-SEVEN (27) regionals. Yes, it's less pressure than on TV, but still that's a LOT of PBA tournaments! That's why this TV thing baffles me.

The thing that I have found interesting with some of Scoggins' match play appearances is that he seems to start out strong and then have a lag in the 3rd/4th game before catching fire again.  If you factor in the lights plus everyone being on the TV pair for practice ahead of time (including two other lefties), I wonder if the carrydown hits more sudden than he has anticipated.  For the most part, it has seemed like he will be rocking right along and then a couple of errant shots all at once...

With all of the success in the SW region over the past year, ya have to figure the door is going to cave in with all the knocking he has done the last three weeks at the national level
