mind over matter
« on: September 06, 2005, 05:49:26 PM »
Any one else like to hook the ball, but is it really needed on a THS. I Strarted to bowl in a pretty good money league and i noticed i was pretty inaccurate when i was cranking the ball, so i went back to bascis and got my game straghtend out. threw 278 279 279 in the last week playing down and in with my BVP balls from brunswick. when i go to bowl in the league tho i seem to have trouble doing what i practiced. then after league i go throw a 279 again. Why cant i bowl good in leagues ! to much thaught ?

Thoughts on the approach will hurt you every time do your thinking when you are in your seat. I try and focus on just one thing when I am in my approach and let muscle memory take care of the rest. My focus isn't always the same though, it varies from week to week depending on what part of my game I am trying to improve, but most of the time my thought is either keeping my grip light or just let it fall.
