Mixed league rant...

So I subbed last night in a mixed league...Mostly drinkers, straight bowlers and a good team here and there..

Anyway on are pair we had 7 (total) straight plastic throwers...Right down the middle (pretty much, lol)

Check out this set:

262-135-132

First game everything was going great...After all that plastic moved the oil down, I was screwed !

Needless to say I will never sub in that, nor any mixed "fun" league !

Seems like I just tossed my $5 right out the window

Damn straight bowlers !

I just didn't really see the point in driving 60 miles east to bowl when I can do the same thing local.

..and another thing, you guys are just to good for me !

You guys are totally Sport-shot kings  

Remember, I don't bowl on Sport-Shots all the time like you guys do!

Bump.

Everyone, please adjust your preferences so you can read all four pages of replies and better understand the mentality of the poster that thinks revs and wall shots are all that matter and that PBA experience leagues and sport shots are garbage.  Of course, if you do another search, you'll see he was proud of an 11 strike one open performance in practice.  Now he wants you to believe that he averages 219, has an 856? series and cashed in a regional.  Uh huh...

You should come join my monday night men's league at Sunset Station, they give us the lanes with a 20 foot head run on top of open play lanes that were used the entire day. The shot is harder and more accurate than PBA shots, i have bowled a team usa 50 ft pattern with flat oil that makes this look easy.

The plastic play with the addition of the medium-heavy head run make it just stupid to figure out, move right it and the ball jumps move left and the ball wiggles. Brutal brutal brutal is all i can say, i watched a july high roller on the pair next to me shoot back to back 170's. I out scored him for the set but not on his pair, kind of felt good to be honest

Holy 2 years ago !

I admit I was stump the first night I subbed...but I over came it the next wek with a 8

First time I ever subbed on a fun league..oh well I did get ring outta it, since it was the first of 2006 for me

People will care if they want to, no need to coach them into anything.

The funny part about all this, you hardly had any posts in the other topic at all, but yet your quick to bump and old, out dated topic. Why not just jump in there and get it out ? Seems a little cowardly, huh ?

So I had a bad time a few years ago, I went back the next week and did pretty decent. I beleive I took out a really dull Thing Lives and crushed the condition. Lesson learned.

1 more thing, you are acting like a sportshot is impossible to over come.

Lets say you have 8 bowlers on a pair with 15 mins of pratice. If you get all 8 bowlers tossing 80 grit (lol) balls and burn a hold spot and decent line, your good to go. Not to say that your gonna put up 260's out the gate, but you can put together a dencent set if you have a decent game, no ?

I mean, the pros get 1/2 hour of practice on the TV lanes before the lights come on, correct ?

Now if your shooting singles with only 2 on a pair..Then your going to have problems
