My bowling center after Hurricane Wilma
« on: November 02, 2005, 11:00:17 PM »
Well I just got power yesterday, Freakin Wilma. Luckily for me my bowling center got power on Saturday and they were able to open halfway. Half of the alley had some water damage and a few lanes actually had some sky lights installed..LOL... It could have been alot worse though. All in all everyone is ok and the damages are simply monetary. 10 days of cold showers though, agghh, freakin Wilma...Ah well, I'm just thankful that was the least of my worries.

I am located in Broward county. Parkland to be exact. Quite honestly, I too am amazed at how quick we got power back. Parkland is known for having well.. Parks... There were trees everywhere, we had power poles that ended up in the forests. It was really an amazing site. I give mad props to all at FPL (Florida power and light) for all their hard work.

Johnny, Kendall is supposed to be closing in April.  I'd recommend the pro shop in Brunswick Lanes Margate.  It's run by a gold level coach, too.

"The pro shop in Margate used to be owned by the bowling center. It was sold to two people who now own and run it.  The two are Mike Nyitray, who is one of only 13 or so USA Bowling Certified GOLD coaches in the world, and Joe Teixeira, who used to work in the shop in Boca Raton."   Jeff Mop filled me in on them when I was looking for better service.
