I'm curious, with all the great bowlers on here with multiple honor scores, how many people have yet to bowl their first 300?

I had 298 my 3rd year of bowling back in 1976. Have had 4 290's since. No 300.

Had the front 10 the other day for the first time in 30 years.

So maybe soon?

Im right handed. Have had every game in the 260's but 260. A couple of 277's, a few 278's, and a few 279's.

Let me see here lol:

279 (Front 9 then a solid 9 pin  in the 10th(wood lanes)
268(3) (I left 2 7 pins in each one)
279 (7 pin)
267 (Front 9, pocket 9 pin and I missed that)
238 (X 9/ X 9/ 9/ 9/ X X X X X X... ALL 9/ were 8 pins)
278 (Pocket 2-10 and missed both, took it off the sheet)

These are my most rememberable.

I too have yet to do it. I've got more 279's than I care to mention (probably around 20~25) and a 290. I always seem to choke around the 7th, 8th or 9th frame and usually end up stringing the rest.

still waiting for that magical moment as well.  have at least a dozen 289's, don't even keep track of the 279's anymore.  have one 298, 297 and still waiting on the big 8.  high is 787 (3rd game, back to back slam 8 then slam 9 in 6th and 7th frame).  would actually rather have an 800.  shot the 297 earlier this year, missed a couple of boards right, did not finish and left the bucket.  next night in a different center, watched a lefty on my pair throw over 3 different ARROWS, smacking the hole each time, for the last 5 of a 300 game, with high 5's from his teammates after each one.  unbelievable.

good post. it makes the non 300 scorers seem normal as it seems like everyone is bowling 300s these days.

we should make a post for those who have not bowled a 300, what is your average?  id be interested in seeing how many above 200 avg have yet to bowl a 300.

     Well fellas I am here with ya. It is coming soon though i believe, I have had close calls with a many 7 strikes out the gate , and a few 8 strikers out the gate. But My Heart starts to race and all the people watching always seems to make me throw a bad throw and leave a 10 or most of the time a split. My high is 259 and i have got it 3 times.

No 300 here either.  I have had more 27?s than I can remember, although according to frames, I had 11 in 2005-2006.  I have thrown an Andy Varipapa 300 during league 4 times.

yup and my name has nothing to do with the green stuff. the name is a carryover from another site for reef aquariums.  i guess no one cares about 300s in relation to averages.

Add me to the list.  Unsanctioned 299 (5 pin that spun around til it stopped in the 8 pin spot), sport 298, local tournament 297, and a few 289s, plus an assortment of 270 somethings.  Hope to get asked to leave this club real soon.

289 was my best effort, a ringing ten cost me the 300, I've had a couple of 279's also.  Some day perhaps, but this old timer is starting to slow down a bit, so it better hurry up!
