Music Videos
« on: September 05, 2015, 02:15:59 PM »
I would just like to say I think music videos should in places like a Brunswick Zone or equivalent independent center during late night where most people need to be 21+ anyway due to alcohol.  The reason I say this is during our captains meeting we bowled afterward and I saw videos from Nicki Minaj that were rated R.  She was in a nightclub dancing the way I'm sure you can imagine with nearly nothing on and a security guard kills someone with a gun.  A few lanes away I can see 5-8 year old kids bowling while these music videos are up.

At 10:30, rules on TV changes and dirtier things can go up on TV.  I'd be OK with that in bowling if they would wait for the kids to leave the place.  During prime time TV, most people want to see their baseball, hockey, basketball, or football team play anyway over music videos.

That sound more PG.  Murder is nothing, you see that on regular TV all the time.  You can show brief nudity in PG-13.  For it to be R-rated, it would have to be much worse than that.

OK maybe it is PG.  Let's say if it's totally clean.  I still think people want to watch their local sports team play and then if there's absolutely nothing on music videos are last resort.  Like I said, I recommend saving them for late night and maybe during the day until happy hour.  Once prime time TV kicks in, they should be on baseball, football, hockey, basketball, Nascar, and golf.
