Oldest ball you have that you STILL use?
« on: November 20, 2008, 04:38:35 AM »
There's been alot of posts lately about how many balls one buys a year, etc.  Granted I've bought some new ones this year, but I have 5 others that I still have a great use for. The "oldest" one I still use is a Track Mean Machine.  It was released 7/06.

Does it really matter?

Columbia 300 U-Turn Pearl. I still have two but the pin down one gets used quite a bit during the Sunday morning pot games.

I still use my Brunswick ShockZone, Demolition Zone, and Battlezone Bullet.

I threw my 300 game last year with my lime green Columbia Messenger.

And in my most difficult house that I bowl in, I 've gone back to throwing my old Columbia Cuda/C, with success.

My low rev rate and higher ball speed combined with bowling on heavier volumes of oil means I usually do better with newer, stronger equipment.  The oldest thing in my bag is a Spit Fire, and even that rarely gets thrown.  Everything else is actually current-line equipment (Dimension, Gravity Shift, Cell)
