Other things in bowling that need to be banned......
« on: May 13, 2014, 09:07:38 PM »
1)  Wrist supports.  These should only used as a training aid and not allowed in sanctioned competition.   Unfair to those who actually have strong wrists and hands.

2)  High tech bowling shoes.   Unfair to those who can't afford them.

3)  The use of throwing a reverse hook.  (Backup ball)   Unfair that these people have the option to use the other side of the lane if they choose.   (Like Robert Smith when he won the Japan Cup.)

4)  Excessive ball speed.   Everyone should roll the ball at 25 mph or less.   (Not everyone is a freak of nature fireballer like Eugene McCune).   Those of us that roll at a 'normal' speed are at a disadvantage.

5)  Any ball that thumps over the thumbhole on spare shots should be declared illegal.  Not everyone can roll the ball end over end and not miss a single-pin spare in over two seasons like Walter Ray.

6)  Any backswing that goes over the bowlers head should be declared illegal.   Most of us would dislocate our shoulders trying that.

So, everyone should use their thumb, wear house shoes, and gently stroke the ball up the 2nd arrow.   Have fun!

The sport needs some real athleticism.  My 3-year-old son weighs 32 lbs and throws an 8 lbs ball.  Therefore I suggest all bowlers must roll a ball weighing 25% of their clothed body weight.

Now you're talking! Just imagine a 250-300 lb house hack come strolling in with his 6 ball roller!  :o ;D

Ban the baby Powder....  If your thumb sticks, too bad...

Ban knee braces... If your knee joints are that bad, just stay home.

Also, ban corrective eye wear... Unfair advantage to those that can see w/out it. Too bad if you can't see the target, let alone the pins...

 :o ??? :-\ ::) 8) ;D

This is funny things you bowlers say here.  I get good laugh and think I understand some of it, but English not so good.  I think someone play joke on me a couple few months ago when I asked question about bowling thing for my hand.  He tell me great thing is something called like Jorge Grip Glove.  But, me not find where to buy.  So, I think if something so hard to find, we should stop use of this glove also.  Funny?  Yes?

Let's just ban reactive, particle, and urethane equipment and only use plastic and rubber.

Ban plastic and rubber and 3 holes. None of this new fangled crap.
Do it like God intended. Balls should be made of Lignum Vitae and should have ony 2 holes, no more, no less.

Well, why stop there?  Ban all holes in balls - then we will all be two-handers.  8^)

1) Ban synthetic lanes. God never meant for us to bowl on counter tops.

2) Ban "exotic" weight blocks. Nothing but pancake cores allowed.

2b) Ban pin out balls. Anything over 1 inch away from CG is considered out.

3) Ban weight holes. Period, NO EXCEPTIONS!

4) BAN HANDICAP! PERIOD.

5) Ban synthetic coatings on pins.

6) Ban pins with interior voids.

7) Ban everyone who says Glen Allison's 900 shouldn't be sanctioned.

8.)Ban ANYONE who thinks a 300 on Wii is actually related to real bowling.

9) Ban lane conditioner. Oil? We don't need no stinking oil!

I had a few others, like ban the PBA, and ban the USBC, but those are about done anyway, so why ban them?
