PBA BOWLING BALLS
« on: July 25, 2007, 02:06:20 AM »
Has any thrown one of those Elite PBA balls?

I am normally a league bowler and tournament bowler and wanted to know if they are any good for normal house shots... What should I expect with this type of quality or is it just a name...

They aren't worth their price. They're just recycled old Brunswick cores, and coverstocks. I know the PBA balls are, but im not sure on the other Elite balls.. I really wouldn't pay the price they want for these balls..

I have not thrown these balls, but I have thrown/used lots of brunswick stuff in the past, and these balls are just technology from brunswicks past.

Most, if not all, the Elite balls use cores from older Brunswick models, and last I heard, Brunswick was pouring the balls for Elite, so the covers are most likely some Brunswick derivative.

There is a forum on the Elite ball, I think, or it may be discussed in the "other" section of the ball forums.  You will probably find more info there.
