POWER STROKERS ......
« on: August 28, 2003, 06:57:20 PM »
If you were limited to using "TWO" balls this year and one was a plastic spare ball, (Possibly a Mr. Snuffy for Siniak, ), what would the other one be?.   It does not have to be a new model, it could be an oldy but goody.

I am leaning towards my Vicious but am considering buying an Inferno.

would consider between...

Columbia WOW Pearl

Track Crunch

Both extremely versitile......coverstock easy to manipulate.....and both hit like a ton and won't dent the wallet much at all....

First choice is Blueberry Buzzsaw. Second is the Inferno. Third V2 Solid.

Of the balls I currently own, I'd probably go with the Pro Purple.  If I was buying a new ball for a one-ball league, it would be either the new Cranberry Buzzsaw or a V2 solid.

I would say right now, it's my Retro Blue Roto. Pin 4.5 from my PAP. Pin under ring finger. I can play the crack to 5th arrow depending on lane condition. This ball played well for me in the Storm Challenge in Knoxville.

I looked over the list of balls I have and found this question difficult to answer. I've always taking three balls to my competition .. now if I had only one to depend on would make it tough.

A lot will disagree with me but I find the EBONITE RED SPARKLE PREDATOR a favorite of mine!

Question:  You're using the Colussus Supreme for all conditions???  That's a lot of ball.

I'd probably scuff the polish off my Ebonite Matrix Dynasty and give it a whirl.  That or I'd use my Shock Zone.

Yes i can use the Supreme on most of the conditions that i run in to thru hand positions and ball speed.Remember this was a two ball question. When they get to burnt up i would move right and use the plastic.
FYI
All i use is MoRich stuff and have great success with them.
My balldriller has my new OnSlaught and will be drilling this the first week of Sept.

Glen, when I first saw the core of the Onslaught I thought awesome...and I thought it looked alot like the Track Phenom core. Well, I just drilled a Phenom for a friend of mine, and he had Mo Pinel drill an Onslaught for him. There is no comparison. The Onslaught seemed like a dud. I guess I expected too much out it. It does not seem to be half of the ball that they Hercules is. Atleast for him it isn't.

Excaliber,
Well like i have said before, not every ball is for everyone. My driller who is Randy Harvey and a member of the senior tour seems to think that this ball will if into my arsenal just fine. I have put a lot trust in his choices so far and have not been disappointed yet.
I will have to let you know what happens after i try it out.

Colossus Pearl for me. Keep it shined up for "league" conditions, higher polish or more speed for shorter patterns and dull it to 320 for heavier/longer patterns. Mine is drilled 4 x 3 leverage and it works great so far on a couple of different shots. Second choice would be Pioneer, except heavy oil it wouldnt move unless I threw it 12mph.

Probably my new Blade Pearl I've been able to play oil and dry!

2nd choice and I use more often because of oil I see my EZ Money.
