Pro-AM
« on: November 09, 2003, 08:25:38 PM »
Just signed up for the Pro-AM tourny on LI, NY, I believe
it is the GEICO Open. Received the new AMF Triumph ball which
I passed on to my wife.  even though I know I don't match up to
the pros , (my avg 207), I was excited to bowl with them, a little
disappointed to find it was a NO-Tap.  Can anyone tell me their
experiences with Pro-AM's ??/

I've bowled a Western Women's Professional Bowlers Pro-Am and it was a no-tap.  3 games with one pro per pair.  The pros move after every game, amatures stay on the same pair.  It was a lot of fun and for the most part the pros were very friendly.

I also bowled a PBA Pro Am.  It also was 3 games, but 3-6-9 instead.  The pros also moved while the amatures stayed on the same pair.  The guys were a lot of fun to bowl with and more than willing to answer questions.
