Pulling the ball

I keep pulling the ball to the left. My dad thinks my hand might be staying in the ball to long, or maybe when i come out of my armswing, my arm swings left.

HELP ME! its like freakin disease and i cant get rid of it.

To me, it sounds like your either trying to point the ball, or not trusting it.  It could also also mean your timing is off.  Trust is a must, or bust!  

The best thing to do is get a coach, or someone to watch you, and bowl about 3-5 games of practice.  If you need to, have it video'ed and watch it to see what your are doing.

If you have access to a video camera, first video tape yourself from the side to check your timing. On your 3rd step from the foul line, the ball should be next to your thigh on your next to last step the ball should be slightly behind your feet meaning the swing shouldn't reach it's apex until the foot has fully compressed, in the slide check and make sure you are not turning the ball too soon, this also leads to pulled shots. Finally in your slide watch to make sure that your foot has come to a complete stop before the ball is released, it should be foot stop, then ball. Check out Ron C's website

Next video tape yourself from the back and make sure you are not pulling your swing in one direction or the other, or muscling the shot, which also will make your timing early, and full of pulled shots.
