Question about the extender polish
« on: March 17, 2006, 01:00:41 AM »
I got an AMF Venom, 14 lb, 3 in pin, i told the driller i wanted it pretty strong, he put the pin right below the ring finger, w/the mb kicked out strong, the problem is it's too strong, i only throw about 15 mph, the ball almost catches the lane before it can go out far enough, probably due to the med load particle pearl coverstock, i don't wanna get it plugged & redrilled, so i was wondering what the Extender polish would do? Would it make a significant difference? Does it sacrifice backend? Or can/do i get the ball polished more (can that be done?) i wanted the ball to have some length w/strong backend, hopefully i won't have to get it redrilled. Any input?

I've used Extender polish and had good results even though I'm the opposite of your style. With my hand/rev rate, I used it on a Sling Blade for lighter conditions and the backend was affected. You'll probably be okay. Just make sure you start with a small amount.

I use it on my Xcel. Haven't noticed a loss of anything. I think it's great stuff, when used for more length. Just have to learn when it's gone and when to reapply.

my 2 cents worth.

Well I tried it out, put the polish on the Venom, it definitely gained length, also was able to swing it out, and it does seem to increase backend, maybe due to increased energy.  Pretty happy w/the result, was told it would last about 10-15 games before reapplying, don't know if anyone can clarify.
