New Site for Bowling Tips
« on: December 02, 2009, 06:54:25 AM »
We are thinking about getting a new site started which would strictly be about bowling tips and helpful coaching instructions. (We would still keep Ballreviews going too.)  We are doing some research to try and find the best information to post on this site.  Just wanted to see if you have any ideas or things you would like to see in a site like that.  This would not be a forum site like Ballreviews.  However, we would be willing to have a system where you can log in and possibly have a place to post your own tips or information.  Again, this is still in early stages and right now we are just getting some ideas of what people would like to see for a Bowling tips website.

Thanks

We are still working on it.  Trying to get as much on it as possible before it is launched.  Still looking for ideas too.  Sorry for the delay on this.

not sure if this is a possability (for an site).

using a throw bot enable people to entera few things..

1. ball choice
2. speed
3. axis tilt/rotation
4. rev rate
5. target line (arrow & bp)
6. choice of 1 of 5 diff drillings (basic drillings nothing fancy)

then get the choice of oil 3 or 4 choices of a ths (the most popular lenghts)and then the pba patterns.

this could help some on ball choice/purchase.

i know there are other variables but keeping it a bit basic will imo be a better fit then a bowler with 200 rev rate only have views of a ball thrown by someone with 500 revs.

Don't know if any of these has been mentioned yet, but I have a few ideas.

1)  A section for the user submit a video of themself and possibly have one of the pros/coaches pick it up and give some tips per private message to the user.

2)  Also maybe have a compare to section where someone could view other pros/coaches technique compared to a posted video of themselves.  I have seen this tool at some coaching sessions and it would be nice to have a free version of it somewhere.

3)  Also maybe have a matchmaker tool like what is on storm's website, where a user can say what companies they are interested in and fill in info on there bowling style and have it match them to a ball.

Just my .02 for somethings I would like to see on a new site.
