release?
« on: January 29, 2018, 12:26:52 PM »
I would like to know how to adjust hand in release when moving right, so ball does not overreact. I also have an tendency to grab the ball in the bottom of the swing. Looking for some tips for a soft hand so to speak.

Kind regards, Bill

I typically do not make hand position changes when moving on the lane.  Hitting up on the ball is an issue I fought to change for about 2 years.  Wish I could help on that, but not sure the things I did would be applicable to you.  I did go to forward with my finger pitches, but mostly it was a feel thing

For me, a soft hand means releasing the ball pure, with no grab. Kind of like I first released the ball when I first started bowling.

I tend to just cut down on revs, mostly.
