Reverse hook...?

I'v noticed that whn I bowl, every time I throw the damn ball (doesn't matter which one) my ball starts to hook the other way, just slightly. Then it gets its normal hook. What is this? I'v done this for so long I I sometimes rely on it. It seems to do this more on dryer lanes.

That's an illusion or something. A ball can't change it's axis rotation from one direction to the next. You may be just coming out near the bottom and you are seeing the ball skid right before it turns left.
