Sean Rash . . um, wow
« on: December 10, 2006, 04:18:46 AM »
He throws one of the best balls I've ever seen in my life, but he's being a SUPER prick right now.  Being from Kansas and having bowled against him a few times in juniors and seeing him shoot back to back 800's in the state tournament last year, I was naturally a fan, but the stuff he's doing on tv right now is really turning me off.  Yelling at the fans after beating Danny about "Who's your hometown hero now?" (or whatever he said), and then when Parker just playfully threw the towel at him, he just arrogantly flipped it up in the air and sauntered back to his chair.  He's a great bowler and he'll win plenty of tournaments, but I hope he grows up so I can start rooting for him again.

P.S., the Total is a BEAST . .

I was more annoyed hearing about what a living legend Parker Bohn was every other frame (I've met Parker several times and like him, so it's not a shot)and how if he just made a ball change earlier or how "savy" Danny was with the slow hook keeping "the pins low". Blah, Blah, Blah.  Rash smoked em both and made it look ridiculously easy.  Look out here comes Sean "Brash' Rash

Where are we suppose to look for him at?  I didn't see him in the round of 32.  Did he bowl this week?  I did on the other hand see Danny bowl in the round of 16.

First impressions mean a whole lot in the world and even though he has won 1 title, its not like he's well known (well maybe now).  That was my first show and first time i saw Rash and that comment just blew me.  There's no way he can ever gain back the fans he lost by that acting how he did.  First of all man up, if your going to talk smack talk if from the start and not after you shut him out.  Second, have some respect for Danny's and his own parents.  How would any of the "Rash" supporters would have taken that comment in front of your parents at home.  Finally,  learn to bowl great on more than 1 pattern.  That's the difference from PW and Rash.  PW been doing this for a long time.  He's not one of my favorite bowlers but he can bowl on any pattern and will talk his game from the word go.

Mike, I was at the show, unfortunately from where I was sitting (left corner of side bleachers, just behind the approach, facing the lanes). I didn't even hear Sean's comment until I watched the tape at home.  I don't know if someone in the crowd said something or not.

I didn't even hear Danny' Oh-S--- because of the crowd noise.  As for the towel toss with Parker, from my perspective that was very much done playfully by both of them.

I can't believe that you didn't hear Rash's comment.  He practically yelled it.  I do agree with you about the towel toss.  Parker flipped it to him kind of like waving the white flag, and Rash tried to catch and flip it back.

Nails, you ahve to remeber that Rash was wearing a microphone, so it was louder to us at home then it was to those in the audience sitting near the back.

As far as the towel incident, Parker flipped it to him after the head pin came back and tapped the 10. I feel Parker did it as if to say "SIT DOWN, YOU WON".  Rash just flipped it back towards him. I really saw nothing wrong with what he did. He is young and brash and maybe a little full of himself, but there is nothing wrong with him. I hope that he keeps going and gets more wins.

T.J.

BOWLING IS FUN NO MATTER WHAT YOU SCORE. BUT A 300 IS ALWAYS NICE.

STRIKE ZONE & PYRO. STAND 22 AND THROW 10 OUT TO 5 AND CRUSH THE POCKET. AT LEAST THAT IS THE PLAN OF THE NIGHT...

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD BOWLING!!!
