Skid Flip
« on: December 28, 2022, 12:37:38 PM »
Let me start by saying I have been looking for a long time but haven't found the motion i had with either my AMF Code or the Ebonite Angular One. The Storm Reign came close but was hit and miss.
The motion was the ball would go a long way down lane and then look like it fell off a cliff.
I am a lefty with a lot of tilt, so I have been told. Tweener.

HELP PLEASE. Tired of wasting money on DUDS.

Buy the new One Remix and tweak the surface. Or buy the overseas Insanity Angular One or Triple Angular One available on ebay. You already know the ball works for you

The Storm Fate and Hammer Offset Attack would be at the top of the list.  Have to remember that at the time, the Angular One was a high end pearl and lane conditions were not quite as oily as they are now.  So in order to get anything close to that; you would need to look at a high performance pearl for current lane conditions.  The Fate is among the strongest symmetric pearls and the new Offset Attack has a cover that is very responsive to friction.  The Envision Pearl that comes out in 3 weeks has the same cover base as the Offset Attack and could be another option.

The Radical Katana Assault, also coming out at the end of January, has the same cover base (HK22) as the Offset Attack and Envision Pearl. However, the Katana Assault has an added flip block to increase motion as well (supposedly).

Once we see a few videos (surely to come in the next few weeks) we will know the ball motion expectations better.

The new HK 22 cover seems to be really strong off of friction.  The 3D Offset Attack likes to go sideways and the Bruns. Defender makes a strong move also downlane.

I was going to say the 3d Offset Attack as well.  Been looking at that ball and it looks good.  The Fate also looks good as well.  I might have to check out the Katana Assault too.
