SrKegler Update
« on: August 03, 2007, 03:05:44 AM »
I want to make sure as many people see this as possible.  I also realize this is not directly bowling related, but it is about one heck of a bowler and one of our more veteran members, so I took the chance of also posting in this forum.

I just heard from SrKegler. It is tough on him right now. He lost his brother and is feeling the loss deeply. I feel he really needs our love and support. He asked me to let everyone know he is okay, just has little energy since the funeral.

He thought about attending The Gathering, but was concerned he would not be good company. He is hoping in a year things will be different and he will join us.

He may not be posting, but he is reading so please. If you can find it in your heart to add to this post with a message to him to let him know just how much we all care about him, I think it will go a long way to help him.

I've seen Sr. K post on here for several years now and we have had many "passing posts" but never actually "met".

My deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family.

Sorry to hear this Sr. K. Keep your chin up, remember the good times, and try not to let it drag you down too far. Lean on family and friends when you need to, and treat yourself to some privacy when you need it as well.

I still think of and miss Mom every day. I know that she would understand my grieving, but at the same time she wouldn't want her passing to be a reason for me to quit living or to stop doing things that make me happy.

*note: reposted my response that was in misc forum, in case Sr K tires of digging through the Crusades that are going on in there.

I am sorry to here about your loss Sr. I am praying that you will get through the loss and grief that follow and return to as normal a life as possible. I was unable to meet him in person when I went to St. Louis before he retired to Florida. But he did help me a lot through e-mail when I was looking for a job there.

Best wishes,
Mike

I had the opportunity to meet Sr. Kegler in St. Louis earlier this year, and I echo the sentiments expressed by Sawbones.  A true gentleman for sure.  My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family.

I met SrKegler when I was about 17 in Las Vegas quite randomly, actually. What a nice guy. I hope all is well in SrKegler land. Keep your head up brother.
