The Best Ball in History
« on: April 04, 2008, 12:33:54 AM »
The other day my driller and I was talking about different bowling balls. And it was brought up the columbia beast. I have to agree this ball was very popular. Many  bowlers had this ball back then. I have to say this is the best ball Columbia came out in history of the company. Let me know what you think. And what ball do you think is the best ever produce by any company ?

THE BEAST! I've had 4 solids and 2 pearls. And one undrilled. Amazing ball.

"Back in the day", the Manhattan Rubber was probably used by a larger percentage of big-name bowlers and used in a larger percentage of scoring records than (I'd guess) any other ball in history.  Granted, there weren't many choices back then, but there you have it.

Teal Rhino Pro. Anyone bowling regularly in 93-95 will remember walking to the ball return and sorting through 8 or more Teals to find theirs. Xcalibur greatest/worst of all time. Started the whole reactive era good/bad depending on your view.

I haven't rolled all these pieces, but I would have to say:

Faball Blue Hammer
Brunswick Inferno
Brunswick Teal Rhino Pro
Ebonite The One
Columbia 300 Black U-Dot

Brunswick LT-48 was a big seller, but I wish I had a dollar for every Columbia yellow dot that was sold.
