Thumb Problem
« on: October 10, 2003, 08:36:12 AM »
I finally had time to practice today after work and it was the best learning experience ever. I knew I was far from a relaxed armswing but damn I didn't realize I have the death grip. My thumb hole has the Magic Carpet in the back and I still have too much room left. I have now found a resolution to my problem. I read in an article to press your nail on the back of the thumb hole but at the time I just overlooked it as just a bad ball drilling. At the end of practice I tried holding the ball throughout the swing with this technique and whala I felt a looser armswing and a cleaner release . I also got more hook and better control. I'm going to get my thumb slug changed and practice this technique more. Hopefully in the future I will get better and be able to get some of those hacks jackpot money.  Ron Clifton I will be placing an order for that great product. I can't imagine bowling w/o those.
