It is nice to know there are people out there that will spend a few bucks
on a complete stranger. I will try to get photos of the stuff we buy for them.

AND may all you guys and gals have a
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

We went out in this snow last Sunday and got her a tree and took it
while no one was home and set it up and decorated it. It was
cold as hell out but I had this warm fuzzy feeling inside, this
being the first time I have ever stepped up and helped someone
in this manner. You guys are making it all possible.

We collected just short of $300. Lost roughly $40 to paypal fees.
Bought the boys each $120 worth of toys including new bikes for both of
them and took the oldest boy to Walmart to get his mother a Christmas gift.
Youngest was with loser father, so he could not go.

This was the most awesome feeling I have ever had!!! usually I HATE
Christmas and call it a government conspiracy to get our money!!!
I have learned a lesson from this. Christmas does have meaning but I still think the feds are up to their ears in it!

When I took the oldest boy to Walmart he thought I was Santa Claus because he got to get his mom a gift and did not have to pay for it.

again A GREAT BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO DONATED and EVEN those that could not get
money to us but still posted their thoughts and feelings on this.

I may just have to do this every year!!!

I would also like to personally thank the
3 businesses that I know of that stepped up to the plate

MIKE AUSTIN FROM PRECISION PRO SHOP IN TEXAS!!!

DOC HOLLYWOOD WHO MANUFACTURES OUR FAMOUS ELIXER!!!

RON CLIFTON OF CREEKSIDE LANES AND MANUFACTURER OF
MAGIC CARPET!!!!

I will try to get pics of the stuff and Family  and scan them at my moms
and get someone to post them for all to see.

It's nice to know that we can help out those who happen to be be less fortunate then ourselves.

I also run a martial art school and we adopted a family from the Shelter Against Violent Environments (S.A.V.E.) Where often times a family just leaves home with the clothing on their backs and nothing more to hopefully find a better life.  We were able to provide a family with clothes, food and a few gifts to help them get back on their feet.  I will probably never get to meet these people that we help but I am sure that we are greatly appreciated and will be thought of for quite some time as we may be the ones that make a difference in their lives.

It is always nice to hear that those who do not grow up to know what the meaning of hope and generosity is, get to experience it firsthand.  Maybe if the whole world could just give a little once in awhile the world would indeed be a better place.

In the grand scheme of things giving a little isn't going to break you and will often mean so much to someone else.  If this small change can influence one to become better and spread the wealth then imagine what it could do for the rest of theis world.

Ballreviews... the forum that gives back to the community!

Buzz you deserve some sort of award for what you have done, and so does everyone that donated. I wish i could have, but next year ill have my own credit card, so if its being run again, i will donate twice to make up for this year. Im so glad that you all could bring some christmas cheer to a family that wasnt your own, just shows how great SOME of the human race is, namely us ballreviewers. haha.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE, especially that family.

good luck and high scoring

Like I told Buzz.  My shop is pretty slow, I'm behind paying myself, bills...  But, all our personal bills are paid, we have good health, we really don't have anything to complain about.  My wife and I are happy, and have jobs, etc.... I'm thankful for what I do have, and will work harder to take care of everything else.  I got to go home to Ohio this passed weekend, bowled a regional.  Made the match play, my Mom got to watch me bowl for the first time in about 20 years.  Great weekend for me, glad to help others, even just a little.

We just knew what it was like not to have christmas . we could not watch those 2 children go thru it again . this is not the first time , i just found this out . but i do have to say i will reward him as soon as i can . our anniversary is coming up and he wants a buzzsaw hat , i am gonna try to get him that and the book revolutions 2 . we have been together almost 10 years and married 2 (sorry i had cold feet) we have 2 daughters and a golden that he got me 2 years ago . but in all those years i have seen him change from a mean spirited person into a man with a really big heart . he just always has one or two suprise's up his sleeve. thank you all very much for helping . i know that she is more than happy. all she can do is cry and smile . i hope all of you have a wonderful holiday . spend it with the ones you love. thats what counts the most . they wont remember all the things you got them but they will remember the laughs and cry together so a gift is not always wrapped in ribbons and bows , shiney paper or pretty colors . i have all i need for christmas right here. they are
Joe,Cheyenne,& LaKota   my family .
merry christmas to everyone
to you joe (buzz )
thank you so much for being the lead in our little idea . ( i guess its not so little is it. )
thank you
your wife

I must say that this is really the first time my wife and I have really been involved in something like this that was actually happening in real time

I told her about what was going on,....I showed her the post (she isn't on here really, only when I show her stuff) she looked at me w/ a wet eye and said,.."did you send something I hope? Look around, we're so blessed and fortunate..."

I said it before and I'll say it again..........thanks for bringing a true feeling of Christmas to a whole bunch of people !!

Merry Christmas to all....this whole incident has made this a special one...a small incident, but very important !

Along the same note - I had a weird one happen.
I went to the "sharing" tree at the mall. I was going to pick up a card for a kid or 2 like I usually do.
Instead, I brushed up against the tree and knocked one off. I caught it on the way down. It was for "Dan" - a 43 year old guy, who needed help. His wants were - VHS movies (blockbuster gift card), CD music (Borders Gift card), and - believe this or not - bowling....

So - he got a towel, a rosin bag, a bowling ball bank, and 45 (yep - we counted) free games that my local center donated for him.

I sure hope he has a GREAT Christmas!! I know it felt really, really, really wonderful to find a bowler to help.

FYI - last year I did my own "adopt a bowling family". This family was really struggling, and had to make the choice of paying the rent or a few toys under the tree. I took care of the kids, and a Winco gift certificate for Christmas dinner.

I do something like this EVERY YEAR. It's gotten to where I like doing this more than celebrating my own holiday!! Feels great.

Merry Christmas, everyone!!!
