Updated vids of a_ak57!

I got to take a couple clips today.  This is just to show different shots i can do.  I'm still going to make an all-comprehensive vid showcasing all my bowling balls, and everything.  But for now there's this.  So enjoy.  Might be big for dial-uppers, but you know it's worth the wait.  In the LL #1, I haven't figured it out, but i'm guessing that's what, like 250rpm?  And the second one is probably like 450.  The last LL is a LOT though.  I'll have to get a close up of it.

After viewing the vid and getting suggestions, I've come up with a list of priorities:

1.  Slow down feet, get better timing
2.  Free armswing
3.  Bend knees
4.  Then, work on release

I used windoes movie maker.  The cable BK was referring to, was the one i hooked from my MiniDV to the computer, a firewire IEEE 3394, 4-pin to 6-pin.

It's nothing you couldn't do since can loft it and rev it so much.  Just imagine my last no thumb shot, except standing on like 5 or 10 or whatever on lane 25, and throwing it out to about the 1 board on lane 26.

damn you throw the ball slow... You make me look like I throw the ball with decent speed.

I would classify you as a stroker. None of those releases (besides no thumb) was strong enough to be considered tweener, even if the ball moves, because you throw the ball so damn slow!

Well, that's exactly why i posted.  Tell me.  BTW, don't worry about the loft.  I do that on purpose, to combat the dry heads.  But otherwise, tell me what to do.

BTW, stanksi, what would you consider my spare shot as?  Slow, medium, high?  I know the real speed, but i'm curious to what you think it is.  Oh yeah, if you think i'm slow, you've never seen bobmatt's vids.  His top speed is 14mph, at the DECK.

Actually, i forgot to ask.  The reason i did this, is to figure out what exact style i want to be.  I'm thinking tweener.

Oh and the spare shot reference, was to shot 6.  Watch shot 6, and tell me how fast (mph at the deck) you think it is.  I'm not sure if the video is messed up or something, since it looks slow.

Yeah, between 19 and 20.  I have no problem getting speed at all, I can easily throw it 23, but since there are no coaches near here at all, i've had to teach myself, and i haven't figured out how to keep the speed but also do the wrist action.  If you notice, i slow down a lot at release, since i've never been taught how to fluidy transition from armswing, to release.

I have NO problem generating revs, or speed, but I don't have the technique to do both.

I'd guess your spare shot was 17 or so on quibica.

It just seems like you throw the ball REALLY slow, maybe its because I'm used to seeing all the kids in league that throw 17-18 quibica and crank the hell out of everything.

Seems like your swing is pretty muscled also. Swing looks to be a little low.

What are your strikes around, 13-14ish on quibica?

No, strikes are usually 15 on qubica.  And yes, that is a muscled swing.

I forgot to mention in my last post, that, if i use a perfectly free armswing, i throw it over 17 or 18, but like i said, i haven't learned how to do the wrist motion and all that, and i have to think about it, so my swing is real forced.
