for me i use ebonite white textured tape for the back of my thumb and just recently started putting valentino black smooth tape on the front. works very well. nice quick release. i use urethan thumb slugs and they can get are smooth but not as smooth as valeninos tape. its really thin so it allows me to keep the size of my thumb the same.
