weight of core?
« on: September 04, 2003, 07:33:36 PM »
I was told last night at bowling that I would be better with a 3 pound weight block.  Do they come in different weights?

No someone is pulling your leg.
The weight blocks in modern balls weigh a LOT more than 3 pounds.
Most of the weight of the ball actually.
Bowl great!

As Magic Carpet said, the core/weight block is what determines the final weight of the ball.  Touring the Visionary Plant in St. Louis, I learned that the cover for all balls weighs the same no matter if the ball is 6lbs or 16lbs.
