Just curious to see what everyones benchmark ball is.  Personally mine is the Columbia 300 Action Packed.

Track Equation. With this ball there is no question where you read oil and where you read dry. Tells me everything I need to know about the lane.

definately my Throttle/R.  I start with that ball and considering what it does, I can make a change from there.

On a house shot, I still like my Nighthawk M2.  I know exactly what it is capable of and how it reacts when it finds the dry.  In a more unknown situation, I'd say my Tour Power - Medium everything.  Havoc would probably be a good choice also.

Whirlwind - It gives me a nice look with some mid-lane read and doesn't jump hard on the backend when it hits the dry.  Very smooth ball.

My bench mark ball is a .....Storm Flash Force......... with the pin under the fingers.  It provides great conditioner lane read, and is a strong strike ball for its condition.  I liked the ball so much I had a second drilled with the pin over the fingers for late lane break down.  The core cover stock combination work great for its niche performance parameter.
Hope this helps -
Denny
