What is YOUR contribution to bowling?
« on: November 02, 2003, 08:46:55 PM »
I can't help but notice so many posts about equipment companies, the PBA, and bowling in general which carry some type of negative message.

My question to you is... what have YOU done to improve it?

I'm not talking about complaining on the forums here, I'm talking about ACTION that IMPROVES the sport.  Do you coach junior leagues?  I'll bet someone here does.  Do you participate on any committees for improving the conditions in bowling centers?  Do you actively participate in local tournaments without complaining the whole way?

The reason I ask is this.  To every issue, you can be part of the problem or the solution.  Spreading bad vibes about something isn't a solution.  And if you have a great idea about something, what have you done to get it in the hands of those that can make the change possible?  Does posting on this website get you any closer to fixing the issue?  Or are you just b*tching?

I know I'm complaining about people compaining, but I hope people will reply in this thread with some POSITIVE things that you actually DO and not just say.

I joined the local bowling association as a board member to try to get bowling back ono the map in our area. I am also now in charge of lane inspections at 2 centers. In my free time, I enjoy helping the jr league bowlers at my home center, and i donate most of my retire equipment to them.
