Whats you favorite ball for control?
« on: November 17, 2007, 01:54:26 PM »
What works really well for a control ball that is out on the market now? I have a NIB Weapon of mass Bias that I might use for this task but, I just want some different opinions and what work for you folks. If anyone is slightly rev dominant or rev dominant like myself that could help me greatly.

If you're looking for a control ball, lean more toward a symmetrical core. I'd recommend most any Buzzsaw. The SuperNova is a solid that rolls very true and their new SN-XP seems to fit the bill in a pearl. =:^D

wmb i dont know ,the only thing mine controls is its spot in the garage. The odyssey is a good ball, the nvs is also good with the right drill and surface prep.

my favorite is the Equation
--------------------
When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

You can get the WMB to be a very good control styled ball. Just get the right super symmetrical drill pattern for you. I also know any solid reactive with some surface and a 1 inch pin to pap makes for a VERY good control ball as well.

No longer on the market, but I just drilled one up and absolutely LOVE it!
Lane #1 Pro Purple.

My fav 2 balls for control are my Sure Fire and my Fired Up. Both layed out with pin under ring and cg center of the grip. Both balls are OOB. Sure Fire is very very smooth rolling and can handle a good amount of oil. Fired up goes longer but with the drilling its a smoother arc of the breakpoint rather then a snap.

I have an Icon with a pin in ring drilling(about 4 1/4 for me)

Boy is that even predictable and where some good backend is provided by the lanes.

REgards,

PS I had a sledghammer with a 3 3/8 control drilling weighthole on PAP.  I liked it and so did people who saw it on some days!
