Where to target?
« on: April 08, 2008, 07:53:29 AM »
Making some adjustments in my game and was told that it is better to choose a target at the arrows. I currently focus on my break point and was told that there was no way I would become a good bowler looking there. I know everyone is different but was just wondering if targeting that far down the lane would be a major problem or not. Any help is appreciated.

The arrows is easier and you can be more accurate because you're closer. Take for instance darts. Throw a dart from 3ft then throw from 10-15ft and see which comes closer to the bullseye. Same way with bowling. Its easier to hit the arrows at 15ft or so away then a break point 35-45ft away IMO. This is what works best on sport shots. If you plan on just bowling on a THS just crank on it. Stand left and randomly toss right, but on a sport shot I think its easier to be accurate hitting the arrows instead of a break point but you still have to hit the same break point even if you roll over the arrow everytime which deals with where the ball is laid down...so the arrow is just a crossing point for me...its all it what you're used to and what works the best for you really.
