I've been using my Aura Paranormal lately on a THS with great results, even when it is supposed to be a heavy oil ball it has been a great ball on THS when my Brunswick Wicked Siege or my Sigma Sting are not enough. However, I started thinking about getting a new ball with similar specs/reaction for when I decide to retire my Aura Paranormal. Motiv is a brand that I started using this last year and I liked so far, but I'm also interested in trying Radical... So, which balls better compares to the Aura Paranormal?

By the way, I'm looking that the new ball could be used on a long pattern and with more oil than a THS, since I'm planning to bowl at the USBC Open @ El Paso this year.

Any help would be truly appreciated!  ;)

I agree on the Jackal and Guru.  However, BTM reviews gave the paranormal a 10 on the length scale - very early.  The Jackal and Guru will go a little longer before hooking than this, but not as long as a lot of other balls would be.
MOTIV Jackal LE .................40 x 4.5 x 40 p2.5
MOTIV Revolt Vengeance......45 x 4.0 x 50 p3
MOTIV Forza GT ..................50 x 4.0 x 70 p2.5
MOTIV Sigma Sting..............50 x 4.0 x 45 p3

If you want something similar, I'd suggest using the same factory, so the Mastermind is close, and the Guru is probably stronger.

What about the new Covert Revolt Vengeance? I don't know why on some sites they put the Paranormal as a Medium to Heavy while on others they put it as Heavy. And yeah, I was thinking about the Guru of Radical but I wasn't sure between the CRR or the Jackal...

Also, both balls (Guru and Jackal) can be used on THS right?

And since both balls are meant to be used on a lot of oil, like a sport shot or like a tournament pattern, I would be able to use it on the USBC Open @ El Paso, right? Because aside from the Aura I don't have another heavy oil ball...

The Guru would be a good choice.

The Paranormal has great length with strong down lane reaction.

The Mastermind Intellect would be an overall bigger hooking version of the PA. The DV8 Schizo is also very very similar. At box finish it is a little longer but same over all reaction shape and really recovers well down lane and handles more oil then expected. I keep my Schizo at 2000/4000 and absolutely love it. It is stronger then my original Aura and a great ball to use out of the gate on the fresh.
…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

I heard incredible things about the Guru, is the ball that good?

Yeah, I driller a pin hole on my Aura so it can have more lenght than usual and it has been a pretty good ball...

In a related topic, I was watching the Seismic Ragin Bull Stampede, and let me know if I'm wrong, but that also can be compared along with the Aura Paranormal, The Guru and the Jackal, right? It is a pretty good looking ball too and its way cheaper compared with the others...

Having not thrown the PA, and just thinking of current line ups. The PA was supposed to be longer version of the Paranormal.

The Guru is the most hooking ball in Radical's line up as of now. And I am not certain how much time it would actually see on a week to week THS.

I would steer more toward the Reav V2 or V2 Pearl, if we are talking the Radical line. The solid V2 has been a great ball for me, one of only a few that I can use all three games on a THS, just move in and watch it come back without burning out.

If you are just looking for pure hook, the Guru is the way to go. I am telling you, the Guru is impressive.

However, Newguy would be the one to provide the best advice on this forum. If you get a response from him, count it as golden.

My suggestion would be to post on the Radical topic page and see if you get any better responses.

Another forum more geared toward Radical heads is bowlingchat.net I believe. Sorry, I hate to give other forums out, but want to give the best advice I can.

Yeah, that's what I heard about the Guru and in the videos it looks pretty impressive!

I'm looking for something strong, something that likes being in the oil, I'm planning to get the next ball to be used on tournaments more than in leagues with THS, BUT i also want to be able to use it at least for the first game on a THS when the lanes are fresh...

I'll do that! Thank you so much for your advice! With so many options in the market it is really hard to choose a ball! And now that Raging Bull Stampede has joined the candidates along with the Guru and the Jackal haha I don't know what to choose!
