« on: September 03, 2006, 06:55:53 AM »
My friend just sold me a NIB Hawg Wild, and now i'm looking for a good ball to compliment it.

I'm looking at:

Doom ($105)
Vapor Zone ($65)
Trifecta ($87)
Ace ($80)
Delta 1 ($60)
Robo Rule ($55)

(my friend is selling all of these, drilling not included)

I can olny aford one, which sould i pick?

I think I should get a ball that does better on dry-low oil, but he doesnt really have anything for that. So maybe low-medium or medium oil.

The hawg should be good on high and med high. Right?

My H/W covers med to med/heavy with ease. If you are looking less oil, the choices are down to Vapor Zone or Doom. I've thrown a doom, great ball, but never thrown a VZ, so I can't compare the two.

I am a Hammer/Ebonite guy, so I'd have to go with the Doom. For what you are going to spend, I'd look around for a OverTime or WhirlWind, good balls, less cost, but that's JMO.

Go with the Doom.  The Vapor Zone reads the lane sooner than the Doom.  The Doom will be cleaner through the front with a big backend reaction.  I know it is heavier on the wallet.  But, it is the best choice.

If that Robo Rule is NIB, buy it and sell it (I assume it's not since it's only $55).

I would go with the Doom. Versatile ball, very good on mediums.
