Who cares how the ball looks?

Odd as it may seem, I hate throwing my Dirty Bomb because...well...it is ugly. Not cool ugly...just ugly.

I really like throwing my Tsunami because...ummm...it's pretty!

Sometimes I am quick to put away the ugly ball after a bad shot.
Sometimes I will struggle through (maybe all night) with the pretty ball.

Wife says (jokingly) I am a freak.
Should I see a doctor?
Anyone else share this condition?

If you don't like the looks of the Dirty Bomb you could ship it to me...  I could always send you something prettier...

I'm really into the ball color even though the reaction is what counts. lol. I usually get balls that are visually appealing yet are designed to do what I want. Sometimes I think I do better with nice looking bowling balls. Must be psychological.

My opinion:
A "pretty" bowling ball is one that carries all 10.
An "ugly" bowling ball is one that doesn't want to carry.

I don't care about color - never have.

the only reason color matters to me is if i'm looking at one of two balls...designed to do the same thing...when everybody tells you they'll both do the same thing...i get the "prettier" one. can't help it. lol.

That Dirty Bomb is really so freaking ugly.
I always wondered why Lane #1 frequently put something ugly on their balls.

With a better looking ball I bowl with more confidence too.

It's kinda like the old saying "when your car is just washed and clean, it runs better". Kinda like balls, if it looks good, you feel confident. I'm not blown away with the looks of the Smokin' Inferno, but I am by the power.
