Who has won their leagues?
« on: May 01, 2004, 02:44:24 AM »
So, how many of you BR members have won a league?  My team just won the second half (sorry BK), and next Saturday we're bowling for the championships, which we'll probably win.  I think the team we're facing we beaten every time, plus, they have a horrid losing streak, while we haven't lost in like 2 or more months.  Today we beat out BK25's team for the second half title....Sorry BK, maybe you'll win the summer....

So, you're in the same situation, except from the first half.

15 years and still going strong! 15 years old that is! The names Warrior Princess, Xena..Warrior Princess
AM not A CHICK OF BOWLING but I wanted to be in Manda's clique And why would I "saw" pins in half, THATS A WASTE OF PINS! I'd rather blow it over with my storm, and 21mph ball speed on dry shots.

BK, how can a spinner criticize someone who throws it only 2 mph slower than them?....

We finished 2nd 1st half (shot 300 in the position round)

1st in second half, First place from first half finished second

Took first and last game in 3 game rolloff for championship...

had 2 bowlers shoot their first 700's, and one shot a new high game (278).

dude avg'd 178, shot 278 and a 723...talk about grace under pressure

I wish all of my leagues were over. On monday night, we are in 8th out of 20 teams. On Thursday we are near the top, only a point or two out of the top if not at the top. On Friday, we finished in 4th out of 6 teams.  Both Monday and Friday leagues end this coming week. Thursday still has a couple of weeks left. We had some makeup weeks due to snow!!

We won the first half on Thursday, finished 5th for the second half, and lost the rolloff this past Thursday.  That's fine, because we bowled the one team on the league we really like, and we had a great time.  They crushed us the first game, we crushed them back the second, and they had a great third game.

We all said "Same time, next year, but our team's gonna win it in 2005!"

My Thursday night league has position round next week.  We are currently in first place, but we need a good showing to solidify the win.

On Monday night, we are in 9th or 10th place.  Not really in contention for anything there except pride.  This has been our luck there recently:

2 weeks ago: I shoot 741, a teammate of mine shoots 725 and we lose 5 out of 7 points.

Last week: I shoot 467, another teammate who shot 450 the previous week shoots 650 and we win all 7.  Maybe I should bowl like crap more often.

we won our thursday league. We won our first series of the
rolloffs 20-10 and sneaked away with a 17-13 win in the final.

We came in 10th and lost our last game by 200+ pins playing against 4 + a blind.  Not the best results, but it was a fun season!!
