Who here remembers.......

the show on ESPN called Bowling World?  It was hosted by Denny Schreiner and started in 1989.  Why can't we get another show like that back on the air?  On that show, they had it all.  Bowling news, individaul features and insturctional segments were just some of the things.  I wish I had a ton of money to get something like that off the ground again.

Another great show here in the Cincinnati area was BPA King of Bowling.  It was on Sunday afternoons at 1:00.

Format:  Area bowlers could sign up/pay to enter the qualifying.  Qualifying was one series bowled, and the top two from each division (189 and under, 190 and over) would bowl against each other on local TV.  The winner of the 190 and over division game would go on to bowl the "King" in the third game of the telecast.  The winner of the King match would bowl in that position again on next week's telecast.  The show would move from bowling center to bowling center throughout the season.
