« on: April 15, 2010, 06:13:06 AM »
I keep hearing about pple bowling on ths with urethane and plastic balls. I wish some of these idiots bowled near me, so I could crush them with my reactive equipment! lol.

So he's over 34 and acts like a 16yr old that's top dog in his center.. Class act there.

Well SD, since I dont put my bowling shoes on for anything less than 50 bucks a game, I will say I would bowl someone with urethane for $500.

Well by the sounds of it, you should be putting up $5000 easily to challenge Chris Barnes........... I'm sure he'd bowl against any hack when they are both using Urethane......

I mean I plan on using Urethane and plastic only next year during leagues and dont see myself having any issues with scoring well.

I wonder how many who finish  in  top ten at nationals were using urethane?Only on a very low volume shot or wet/ dry where the outsides are not legal to begin with will plastic or urethane be able to compete unless someone has a phenomenal rev rate. You may not like the way Imakea2srun worded his statement but he is at least 90 percent correct.

All he said was people are idiots for using urethane on THS that is FALSE

He said he would crush anyone that uses urethane on a THS that is FALSE.

I hope you not a math major beucase two FALSEs make 0% right. not 90%

Uhhhhhh.  Thanks for stating the obvious and what the argument for urethane is all about.

Hey CRD what can I say but it was a late night with a few beers and suddenly I morphed into mr. obvious.I think the point I was trying to make was that at a place such as nationals when the lanes dry out good bowlers  move so far they would loft gutter caps rather than switch to urethanes. To me that indicates they must feel there is a competitive advantage with reactives though with the new urethanes and  dynamic cores it may be different now.As far as THS in my area we don't seem to have the extreme wet /dry condition so I think it would be tough  to compete with even the new strong cored urethanes.I do have a friend though who lives in another town who has a urethane Ogre which sees a lot use in the main center he bowls in.

And rotostorm2008 I'm not a math major but what would be called an Internet Gynecologist because I can spot a little c*nt through a computer screen.

It still all comes down to match ups. One house I sub in is old wood and the outsides are on fire. The high average guys are all 19-20 mph. I'm rev dominant and 12mph. on THS there everything resin turns dead sideways. I have a far better look and carry with my polished Hype urethane and Desperado than with any resin unless i want to play 5th arrow with weak resin from the start. The other houses they are in the car just in case but are not needed. Not everyone needs a ball that jumps left when it sees friction. The're is no right/wrong on this subject . It is all about what matches up to your game
