« on: April 15, 2010, 06:13:06 AM »
I keep hearing about pple bowling on ths with urethane and plastic balls. I wish some of these idiots bowled near me, so I could crush them with my reactive equipment! lol.

If you are not using reactive , you are at a disadvantage, period, end of story.

I tell you what on a house shot I would take a urethane ball over a reactive ball in a heart beat. If the only thing you can bowl with is reactive your not a bowler. You wouldn't last in the old days when thats all you had. If it was on the Chamelon or the Cheetah I would diffently have a Urethane in my bag.

Make sure you also ask Rhino Page what he won with this year during the WSOB?

Learn how to drill your reactive balls properly and u wont need urethane. It is possible to make a ball like a scout or tornado warning react almost like urethane with the right drilling.

Yeah, I bowled against a moron using an older urethane in my league this week. i believe it was an old ebonite ball. He wiffed the head pin a few times and missed a few 4-pin spares. Idiots.

Well my fellow bowler cringes when I pull out the Natural.  I'd like to bowl with it more to get a better feel on the reaction but his reaction nixes me.  I bought it because our lanes are toasty some nights and I can't seem to reach 20 mph on a regular basis.

thought bowling was about knocking pins down... shouldn't matter how you do it or what your using to do it...

I would be happy to bowl against you with a urethane ball vs. you with a reactive

I would never second guess the professionals. There is a reason they are at the professional. Its the guys that I bowl with in league that think they are professionals that really irritate me.

Reactive balls are made of urethane too.

Wow, you have just proven to me that you truly are a moron. The balls you just listed do NOT feature dynamic cores, they feature pancake blocks (I know the Scout does) and therefore are limited in the number of ways you can drill them to alter reaction.

In those balls, the REACTIVE RESIN coverstock will dictate ball motion, and will, for bowlers like myself with extremely high rev rates, who bowl on extremely dry conditions, still be entirely too aggressive off the friction. Making a statement like "learn how to drill your reactive balls properly and you won't need urethane" is a blind, idiotic statement and is entirely false.

I am drilling a urethane piece to combat the obscene lack of volume in the centers I bowl in, which is a smart decision by me. Urethane clearly has a place in one's arsenal, and you are too stupid to see it.

Oh sean-y-poo,
You have always complained about the lack of Oil at Maple Lanes.  You went and got a Lane#1 THS you won in a raffle and it still didn't help you.  Your Groove Dry/R doesn't help you.  Why don't you just admit that you can't bowl?  I mean it's pretty obvious since you dodge me all the time, MurphBOOM.  I ask again, when are we bowling or rumbling?

Your pal,
Freddy

FYI... some times "less" is "more"!!!   hopefuly as you become a "better" bowler you will realize this...
