Lemme try to explain this to you in as simple of terms that i can.
A bevel knife is a 3 bladed (triangular) knife. What are its used? Well there are many uses of this took. Mainly it is used to smooth off a sharp edge or hole in a bowling ball. I dont know if you have ever felt a sharp freshly drilled hole before, but it is quite sharp. This took allows you to smooth out thoes sharp edges quickly and easily. Heres a picture of my bevel knife:

The workout tool, well i had no clue what this was until i actually got one. Basically its a metal shaft, and at the end is a double sided circular blade. The top circumfrence is smaller than the bottom.
Heres a pic of the entire tool:

I can use this and slowly remove layers of the thumb slug on the sides, or any part of the slug, so that my thumb can get in. Sometimes it cuts smoothly, sometimes it dosent.
Here is where a bevel sander comes into play. Basically this is a machine with a motor in it that spins very fast. On the spinning end a special Sanding Disk (which is a round piece of sandpaper of rough grit) which smooths out any rough spots in the hole. Normally in a pro shop, we use this tool to smooth out any roughness made after using the bevel knife and the workout tool.
