Would you buy a ball just because it is cheap?
« on: April 25, 2004, 03:16:13 AM »
My local pro-shop is selling the Track Triple Threat at ridiculously cheap price (£50 off RRP, around US$70 off retail price).

No I don’t need a new ball.
No I don’t know what Triple Threat is like.

However it seems too good of an opportunity to pass up.  So, would any of you buy a bowling ball just because it is cheap?!?

Well, just look at this, and then you'll know stuff about it.  I say buy it, if it's cheap, why not?  IF you don't like it, you can just sell it.

Omega,
I'm a complusive ball buyer too!

Lilmike,
Brand new Triple Threat is £110, that's $US190 including drilling, finger inserts and thumb slug.  We in the U.K. are not as lucky as you guys, everything cost double here.  e.g A brand new Inferno, X Factor or Animal will cost $300!!!!!!! And if the a new ball like the Animal Untamed comes out in the U.S. in April, we'll be lucky to get it in June.

For open bowler, a game can cost US$8-9!!

Crazy rip-off

I guess I'm in the minority...unless I have a need for something or I think I can flip it on eBay for a profit, I wouldn't make the purchase.

i agree with michelle and that is exactly what i would do.  if a ball cost normally 150 shipped brand new and i get it for 100, i would throw it on ebay make a little profit and add it to my paypal bowling ball fund.  lol

Well, doesn't that mean you would buy it?  No one said you can't make a little business....
