would you buy why or why not
« on: October 04, 2005, 09:38:03 AM »
The thing I want to know is why people will not buy this stuff is the pricing to high or what would stop you.  please give me your option.

My name is John Patten. I'm an avid bowler in Lincoln, Nebraska that turns old bowling lanes into beautiful pieces of bowling artworks. This bowling artworks is made out of real bowling alleys, bowling pins, & bowling balls. The wood alleys that I use come from an 8 lane bowling alley out of Kansas City, MO. The pins are used and are refinished to give them a very new look. I take a lot of pride and care, which goes into every item I make which makes every item one of a kind. I have a web site with samples of the products and I'm coming up with new products all the time, please take a minute at my unique products at

Neat stuff, but a lot of it looks to be very space-consuming.  Maybe try some smaller works.  Do you offer custom builds?  For example, if someone liked the lane-finished table top but wasn't so sure about using pins for the legs, could a customer special order one with more "standard" table legs? OR, could they order a custom made plaque that is made out of the lane wood with their name, score, date, etc... burned onto it?  Maybe even with a little place where they could hang or attach their ABC/USBC award?

Seriously, you should make a clock out of 12 arrows, or you could use the dots too.  Try some bowling-pin lamps.  These are a couple of smaller items I could see more people using in their rec-rooms or trophy rooms (or even giving as gifts).
