Wow! A USBC magazine worth reading!
« on: November 17, 2009, 09:25:21 AM »
I got my new USBC magazine. Usually I glance through it and throw it in the trash. Most of them are garbage publications in my opinion. I really can't stand the NBA involvement in every issue. Ok, so if you can get past the minor first couple of pages of Chris Paul who I think is a great guy and glad a NBA player...great that is can bowl that well is a bowler then we have some interesting articles and features.

The finger grip article was fascinating to me. To me at least because I recently went from a tucked pinky release to out of the blue spreading my index finger more to now I call "eagle claw" and have the the index finger spread and the pinky flat and spread which I haven't done in almost 10 years has dramatically boosted my scores and confidence. A theory that seemed to work. The article is very interesting.

The targeting article was very cool along with some much improved USBC information on several different things but also but I have to praise how the article was done with the 4 finalists for the World Championship telling about each of the 4 player's style and some interesting technical and personal information which being a big fan of the PBA I always look for.
