Wrist Supports
« on: January 26, 2005, 10:06:40 PM »
Ok, first off let me say that I know most people on here are against wrist supports.  I am using mine simply as a training aid to help the transition to a new swing style.  Last week I put mine back on for the first time in 2 years and it helped a lot.  I am in the process of completely changing my swing and approach from "muscling" the ball to having a much more smooth and free armswing.  I have also been changing my approach to get better balance at the line.  Anyway, I use a moro pro release.  My question is this, has anyone used the Storm Strongarm or Strongarm Plus release?  If so, what are your feelings on them?  I like the adjustability of the pro release because I can alter my lift and the roll of the ball and it looks like the Storm release has the same features..  I just want to know if Storm's is any more stable and how well it fits.  Also, if there are any other wrist devices out there that you may feel are better.  I don't want to waste my money on something that isn't very good.  I am not planning on sticking with the wrist support forever, just until I get a little more consistant in the other areas so that I can concentrate more on wrist position.  I am seriously trying to take my game to the next level and I have pretty much dedicated this year to going back and improving the basics of my game.  In other words learning to bowl the right way and a way that gives me more flexibility and ability to adjust.

I've used a Moro for 4-5 years. I recently tried a Robbys II. At first I was sort of so-so about the Robbys II, but after using it for a week-10 days, I found that I liked it better than the Moro plus it is so light that it weighs almost nothing and you don't even know you have it on, where as the Moro is big, bulky and heavy.
