WTF!!!

last night at Bowlers City in NJ I shot 300 the second game and got back $60 for my effort!!! The point is that this is a all mens league with 40 teams with 4 on a team...160 guys. the high game of the day only paid freakin $60 and I had high series 780 that paid $40. Tell me this dude ain't scheming off the top, besides that he had the nerve to ask for a TIP, I told him him to tip these nuts. That what is wrong with the sport now too many thieves.

At least you didn't have to split the high game pot money!!
If your center is like mine it's just plain hard to get people to put into the pot.  Bowlers are cheap, ya know.  I'm in a small center (16 lanes) and a 5 man team league can only muster up about 8 brackets a night - and that's $2 brackets, not 5.  That also with several of us buying into every bracket.

Man it sucks to only win a hundred bucks......

I shot 300 and got back 7 dollars from the high game pot.  I split it with another guy who shot 300.  We pay every game not just the high game for the evening.  If you won high game for every game and high series you MAY walk out with 30 bucks for a 2 dollar investment.  I don't know what you had to pay but if it was 5 or less, it was a good investment on your part.  Congrats on the 300.

Honor score???  Isn't that in about the same category as "Military Intelligence".

Not a whole lot of glory in honor scores anymore.  Might as well try and earn some money.

Joe, it's not about the money it's about the punks who try to pay thier rent off of runing the pots. you have bowlers who quit leagues like this because they think it has no money in it and people who quit because they know that something F'Up is happening. The leagues in my house they post all the pots on the wall to let you know who's in.

well then confront him. we had the same problem a few years ago in a league with 16 5 man teams. the normal jackpot guy paid out $18-20 a game and series. One week, he wasn't there, and the pots went up to $50 a game!!!

It's pretty easy to check, seems like he has to have a sign up sheet just to know who is in the pots.  Count the names and do the math.

Whoever wins our 3rd game pot has to take up the collection the following week.

At Carolier in New Brunswick and Howell Lanes in Howell, that games/series will get you $300/750 most nights; on some nights much more than that!

I thought you were moving your pro shop to somewhere better/nicer??
