WTF is up with the oil

How does the viscosity of the oil affect ball reaction?

Good bowlers use the big B and when they do they create a Storm

....... if i remember correctly from chemistry viscosity is how thick a liquid substance is...i.e. motor oil carries a high viscosity.  Logically you'd think the higher the thickness the less the ball would hook, right?

Ya changing the brands really changes the reaction. I remember when we got new oil that it messed my game up till I got accustomed to it.

The higher the viscosity the less the oil will move on the lane surface. The viscosity pulls the oil back like a rubber band being stretched (within reason of course).

This post explains it.  There's a lot more to running the lanes than just putting oil into the machince.

Not to be rude but if you can't adjust you just got a reality check. You can't bowl as good as you thought.
