its a factory second. Meaning that there is either bad colors in the ball, an extremly long pin, which is no good, too much top weight, which is no good, something wrong with the ball internally, and many other things could be wrong. I wouldnt recoment buying these balls because you never know what to expect.

they are not always a bad thing as stated.
I us alot of 2nd and x outs. I search my ditributor and only get the goods ones. The best ones can only be very small engraving problems. Engraving may not be deep enoug-may have 2 serial numbers ringht next to each other-may have slight color blem. You can get a ball like this for half off, with good pin and top weight. Jump on it.

also they make half weights  x-outs sometimes(these are 15 lbers that may be 14 lb 14 oz and such) - I look for these because i just came off elbow surgery and would rather have the slightly lower weight-and they are discounted-even better  
BUT
there are some that have low or very high top weight, very long pins-unless you have something directly in mind, stay away from these
