No, not one of those nights where every spare seems to sneer at you as your ball goes swishing past, but one of those nights when you just have a groove that seems to lead right to the pocket?
Well, tonight was one of those nights; at least, it was one of those nights for 2 games. I came out of the gate with a 225. 10 shots in the pocket for 5 strikes and five 7 pins. I was getting to the hole, but carry was obviously lacking.
I made a 2 board adjustment for game 2 and threw the front 8. A soft shot in the 9th left a washout, which I converted before going X9/ in the 10th for 266. I made another small adjustment for game 3 and threw the front 3, ring 7, next 7 in a row and finished with a ring 7 in the 12th for a 278. Totaled 769 on the night.
Every shot just seemed to zero in on the pocket. It was a little surreal. 19 of my last 23 frames were strikes. Yeah, it was a cushy house shot, but these kind of evenings make this sport fun.
