One of those "blind squirrel finds a nut sort of things"...I had left several 10-pins earlier and noticed I was able to get the ball out on the twig and hold it there.  When I left the 4-6-7-10, I thought "what the heck", throw it out on the twig again and you might get lucky.  Sure enough, I throw it out there, it holds the line, barely clips the 6-pin which slides almost 90 degrees across the lane clipping the back of the 4-pin and the front of the 7-pin.  The 4-pin fell in slow motion directly toward the foul line like I had pulled it toward me with a string.  The cool thing was about 7 or 8 people saw it...so I got witnesses!  I guess everybody gets lucky every now and then...
