plug and redrill = illegal?

hi I just got a paradigm drilled up and I think its waaay too weak(drilling).  

if I plug and redrill will this ball be illegal for any type of sanctioned competition/league?  I think I read this somewhere but am unsure.

would I maybe be better off getting another ball?

Legal for just about anything except maybe PBA.

Just to add a comment....in a PBA Regional...plugged balls do not need to be clear...just an FYI.
