I was 45.

When I was 13, I shot a 250, and made bowler of the year in the juniors where I was bowling.

I was 31.

Today in the league that bowls next to my daughter (she's a Major), a kid in Seniors shot 279-280-256/815.  YEESH.

I was 25.

Theres really nothing fair about this game though.  A buddy of mine bowls regionals, cashes on a regular basis, has never had an honor score.  Been bowling around 30-40 years.

Highest game is 289, high series around 790.  Something always jumps up and bites him.

I, on the other hand, can miss 5 boards either way and still carry.

That was Ron Napiewocky. I bowl in the seniors division in that league. I thought i saw you there a few times there. Sunnybrook is so blocked though, our wednesday league there has 8 300's and 4 800's. i've been sucking in that saturday league though, i'm only averaging 210 in that league where as the wednesday league i've been averaging 230.

I'm still waiting for my first sanctioned one, but i bowled my first practice one when i was 16 after bowling for 8 years (still 16). I have 9 in practice, but can't seem to get that sanctioned one yet.

Had my first one at age 57 after having lots of chances over the last 45 years. Always had a ringing 10 pin or a solid 9 to stop me most of the time. Then had two more in less than (12) months.  Have had two at home the other at Western Bowl in the Hoinke Tournament in Cincinnati. Had my first 800 series at age 59.  It's one of only two shot in this house in the last 23 years.  Oh did I mention we've only had (12) 300's in the last 23 years also.  I've always said, "If you can bowl good at our house you can bowl good anwhere in the world."

Started bowling in 1990 at the ripe old age of 19.

Threw my first honor score (298) in 1998...27 yrs old

Threw my high series (783) in 2000...29 yrs old

Threw my first and only 300 in 2002...31 yrs old

And ironically all 3 of those above games were bowled in 3 different houses!

I had my first 300 four weeks ago today, at the age of 55, having been bowling for over 40 years.

It's all expotential.  The more sanctioned leagues and sanctioned tournaments you bowl the easier it is to roll honor scores.

It's way easier today than it was in the 70's and back. But numbers reflect this and we had twice as many sanctioned bowlers in our local back then.

I started when I was 5 years old and got my first 300 when I was 15.  This past season I had 3 300's and 2 800's and now I am 20 years old.
